What is CONSTELLATION?
CONSTELLATION is a modular multi-effect plugin (VST3, Windows) for beats, vocals, synths and sound design. You place up to eight effects, called stars, on three parallel lanes, make them move with orbits, store eight complete sounds as scenes and morph or sequence between them.
Which effects are inside?
Sixteen: Filter, Drive, Crush, Ring, Reso, Swirl, Double, Octave, Shimmer, Echo, Space, Grain, Stutter, Tape, Gate and Tone. Any of them can sit on any of the three lanes, in any order.
How does the modulation work?
Six orbits can move any knob. Sources include a drawn curve with up to 32 points, the envelope, transients, pitch, syllables of a vocal, a sidechain, a recorded mouse or controller gesture, random and MIDI. Orbits can also drive other orbits, lane levels and the morph pad.
Which DAWs does CONSTELLATION work in?
CONSTELLATION is a 64-bit VST3 plugin for Windows 10 and 11. It runs in VST3 hosts such as FL Studio, Ableton Live, Cubase, Studio One, Reaper and Bitwig Studio. There is no macOS or AAX version at the moment.
Does CONSTELLATION add latency?
No. CONSTELLATION runs at zero latency, and with no star placed it passes the signal bit-exact.
Can I play the effects live?
Yes. Eight performance pads trigger stutters, rolls, tape stop, reverse, sweep, echo throw and freeze on the whole output, from the mouse, the keys 1 to 8, MIDI notes or automation. Pads can latch or fire every 4 or 8 bars, and THROW can catch the last word of a vocal phrase.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. The 14-day trial is the full version with every feature and no licence key. When you buy, you get a licence key that activates CONSTELLATION on up to two of your computers. No subscription.
