The anatomy of a hit.
Every sound is built from five layers you can see: TRANSIENT, BODY, NOISE, ROOM and DIRT. Five knobs reshape it: PUNCH, LENGTH, TONE, PITCH and DIRT, plus level and pan per pad.
808s that slide.
Play the 808 chromatically over two octaves; overlapping notes glide into each other, with the glide time your choice. Gate it with the note or let it ring as a one-shot. The perc plays chromatically too, for phonk cowbell melodies.
Into your DAW.
Hear it in a beat: three grooves per genre play the kit at once, and DRAG MIDI puts the groove on your track. Drag any pad onto a track as a 24-bit WAV, or all eight at once. EXPORT KIT saves the sounds, the groove and the kit.

Is ANVIL a sample pack?
No. ANVIL synthesises every sound when you forge a kit, from the DNA of the genre you pick. There is no library inside, so the kits you forge are new.
Can I use the sounds in music I sell?
Yes. The sounds you forge are royalty-free in your own music, including releases and beats you sell or lease. You may not sell or give away the sounds on their own as a sample pack or kit.
Which DAWs does it run in?
ANVIL is a VST3 instrument for Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit): it runs in DAWs that load VST3 instruments. A Mac version is not available yet.
How do I get the sounds into my DAW?
Drag a pad onto a track as a WAV, drag from the drag field to bring all eight, or play ANVIL from MIDI on its own track. The groove's DRAG MIDI chip puts the beat on a track as MIDI notes for ANVIL.
Will I get the same kit again?
Yes. Every kit has a seed: the same seed, genre and heat forge the same kit. HISTORY keeps your last 30 kits, SAVE KIT and EXPORT KIT keep the ones you love, and a project stores its kit.
What happens after the trial?
For 14 days ANVIL is the full version. Without a licence after that it keeps playing but mutes briefly every 45 seconds, and pads and kits cannot be dragged out or exported. Enter your licence key to unlock it.
